Upon arrival at Bangkok International Airport, you will be greeted by your personal driver and local guide for a seamless transfer in a private vehicle. Please ensure your visa has been pre-arranged, or that your visa-on-arrival approval letter is readily accessible in your carry-on luggage. Proceed directly to the customs desk as your first point of entry, where you’ll present the required documents for immigration clearance.

After clearing immigration, enjoy a leisurely introductory city tour to settle into the rhythm of Thailand’s vibrant capital. Your journey begins with a serene longtail boat cruise along the legendary Chao Phraya River, known as the River of Kings, and its tranquil labyrinth of canals. This waterborne journey offers a glimpse into Bangkok’s past when the city’s extensive canal network earned it the nickname “Venice of the East.” Along the way, you'll witness charming scenes of riverside life that continue much as they have for generations.

Your cruise culminates at the magnificent Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn), one of Bangkok’s most iconic riverside landmarks. This 79-meter-tall central prang, encrusted with colorful porcelain, glistens in the sunlight and stands as a dazzling symbol of the city's spiritual and architectural heritage.

After a memorable introduction to Bangkok, return across the river and transfer back to your accommodation or continue your journey in the city.

Depart Bangkok in the early morning and journey westward to the iconic Maeklong Railway Market, locally known as Talad Rom Hoop. Upon arrival, your local guide will share the unique history of this extraordinary market, famous for its train tracks running straight through the stalls. Just moments before the train arrives, watch vendors swiftly retract their awnings and goods—a remarkable spectacle that never fails to amaze.

Continue onward to the legendary Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, located approximately 100 kilometers from Bangkok. Nestled amidst the lush Thai countryside, this vibrant market is often referred to as Klong Ton Khem Floating Market, the busiest and most photographed section of the three floating markets in Damnoen Saduak. Glide along narrow canals flanked by colorful food boats and charming wooden stalls selling tropical fruits, local snacks, and handicrafts. For the best photo opportunities, head to the bridge overlooking the main canal or explore the quieter zones of Her Kui and Khun Pitak for a more authentic experience.

After soaking in the rich sights, sounds, and flavors, return to Bangkok in the late morning and enjoy a leisurely afternoon at your own pace.

This morning, depart Bangkok and travel north to the historic heart of Thailand—Ayutthaya, the former capital of the Kingdom of Siam and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, located approximately 75 kilometers from the city. On the way, your journey begins with a visit to the exquisite Bang Pa-In Royal Palace, also known as the Summer Palace of King Rama V. A graceful blend of Thai, Chinese, and European architectural styles, this royal retreat set beside tranquil ponds is a picture-perfect example of 19th-century elegance. Please note that modest attire is required within the palace grounds.

Continue onward to explore the evocative ruins of Ancient Ayutthaya, once a cosmopolitan hub for international diplomacy and trade. During its golden age in the 17th century, Ayutthaya welcomed merchant fleets from China, Japan, Portugal, Holland, France, and Scandinavia, all of whom established thriving foreign settlements along the Chao Phraya River. Although the city was tragically destroyed during the Burmese invasion of 1767, many of its awe-inspiring temples, palaces, and monasteries remain, offering a glimpse into the grandeur of its past.

Visit or pass by some of the most significant temple complexes and monuments, including Wat Mahathat, famed for the Buddha head entwined in tree roots, and Wat Phra Si Sanphet, once the royal temple of Ayutthaya’s kings. With ample time for photography and immersion, you’ll gain a deep appreciation for the historical richness of this ancient city.

As the day comes to a close, you will be transferred to the Ayutthaya Train Station to board the overnight sleeper train to Chiang Mai, continuing your journey into Northern Thailand.

Welcome to Chiang Mai, the spiritual capital of Northern Thailand. Upon arrival at the railway station, you’ll be warmly greeted by your local guide and driver. Begin your day with a delightful local breakfast, offering an introduction to the region’s flavors and hospitality.

After breakfast, embark on a cultural journey through Chiang Mai’s rich temple heritage. Your first stop is the majestic Wat Chedi Luang, built in the late 14th century. Once the tallest structure in the Lanna Kingdom, this iconic temple was the original home of the revered Emerald Buddha. Its towering chedi and ancient ruins offer a solemn glimpse into the city’s glorious past.

Continue to Wat Phra Singh, a 14th-century masterpiece known for its exquisite Lanna architecture. The temple houses a revered image of Phra Buddha Sihing and features an ornate scripture library, one of the finest examples of its kind in Northern Thailand.

Next, ascend to one of Thailand’s most sacred sites—Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. Perched 1,050 meters above sea level on Suthep Mountain, this golden-spired temple was founded in 1383 and enshrines holy relics of the Lord Buddha. The site is reached via a climb of 306 naga-flanked steps, symbolizing the path to enlightenment. From the summit, take in a breathtaking panoramic view of Chiang Mai and the lush Ping River Valley below.

Please note: Proper temple attire is required. Visitors should dress modestly—long pants and sleeved tops for men and women; no see-through clothing or bare shoulders. Avoid bright colors where possible. Bare feet are not permitted inside the temple.

After the temple tour, transfer to your hotel for check-in and a well-deserved rest.

Evening Cultural Experience: Khantoke Dinner & Traditional Lanna Show

As the sun sets, you’ll be picked up from your hotel and transferred to an authentic Khantoke Dinner & Cultural Show—an unmissable introduction to Northern Thai hospitality. Seated on floor cushions around a traditional wooden pedestal tray (Khantoke), enjoy a spread of classic Lanna cuisine including:

  • Kao Neaw (sticky rice)
  • Gaeng Hung-Lay (Burmese-style pork curry)
  • Gai Tawd (crispy fried chicken)
  • Naam Prik Ong (minced pork chilli dip) with fresh vegetables
  • Mee Krob (crispy noodles), Paad Pugg (stir-fried vegetables), Kaeb Moo (crispy pork rinds), and Klow Thod (banana fritters)
  • Dessert features Kao Taen (puffed rice crackers), seasonal fruits, and your choice of coffee or tea.

While you dine, enjoy a spectacular lineup of traditional Lanna performances, including the graceful Fingernail Dance, the dazzling Sword and Candle Dances, and the interactive Ramwong circle dance. The evening also features colorful hill tribe cultural shows and festive firework displays, rounding out a truly immersive Northern Thai experience.

After the performance, return to your hotel for a restful overnight stay in Chiang Mai.

This morning, depart from your hotel lobby and head southwest toward the majestic Doi Inthanon National Park, home to Thailand’s highest peak, towering at 2,565 meters above sea level. Known as the "Roof of Thailand," this protected area is a haven of biodiversity, with lush evergreen forests, blooming rhododendron groves, unique highland flora, and a diverse array of birdlife.

Your first stop is the summit of Doi Inthanon, often shrouded in mist and filled with cool, crisp air year-round. Here, enjoy a peaceful walk along the Ang Ka Nature Trail, a short yet captivating boardwalk that winds through the moss-draped forest, showcasing the beauty of high-altitude ecosystems and endemic plant species. Interpretive signs along the trail make it easy to understand the rich natural environment.

Next, visit the twin Royal Pagodas, built to honor the birthdays of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit. Perched on a ridge with sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and terraced flower gardens, these pagodas—Phra Mahathat Naphamethanidon and Naphaphonphumisiri—are architectural masterpieces symbolizing peace and prosperity.

The journey continues to the Doi Inthanon Royal Project, a pioneering initiative founded by the late King Rama IX. Designed to introduce sustainable agriculture to local hill tribes and reduce opium cultivation, this project today supports flourishing flower nurseries, organic farms, and educational centers. Stroll through the cultivation zones and witness the transformation of mountain livelihoods.

Before returning to Chiang Mai, stop at the spectacular Vachiratharn Waterfall—one of the highest and most powerful in Northern Thailand. Cascading nearly 100 meters down a forested cliff face into a misty basin below, this scenic spot is ideal for photography and soaking in the energy of nature.

After an inspiring day surrounded by natural splendor and cultural insights, relax as you are transferred back to your hotel in Chiang Mai.
