Travel through Tu Le to the spectacular rice terraces of Mu Cang Chai, where the landscapes are as rich in culture as they are in beauty. Continue your journey through the scenic passes of Than Uyen and Binh Lu to reach Sapa, a charming town known for its dramatic mountain views and ethnic diversity.
In Sapa, immerse yourself in a trekking experience through Bac Ha, Di Thang, and Na No, visiting remote villages and interacting with local hill tribes. Your adventure then takes you to the rugged landscapes of Ha Giang, where you’ll hike in Ha Thanh and explore the majestic karst formations in Yen Minh, Quan Ba, and Dong Van.
From Dong Van, continue to Meo Vac and Bao Lac, exploring some of the most untouched and stunning regions of Northern Vietnam. Journey onwards to Khuoi Khon and Ba Be National Park, where you’ll relax on a peaceful boat trip across Ba Be Lake, surrounded by verdant forests and towering cliffs.
Return to Hanoi and embark on a day trip to Tam Coc and Mua Cave, where you’ll cycle through picturesque countryside and explore ancient cave systems. Finally, your journey concludes with a visit to the iconic Ha Long Bay. Cruise through its emerald waters, discovering hidden grottoes and limestone islands, before returning to Hanoi for your departure.

Arrive at Noi Bai International Airport, warmly welcomed by our guide & driver, then transfer to the city. Hanoi or “River-bound City,” as its name literally means, is Vietnam’s capital with a thousand-year-old history dating back to 1010. The city’s fascinating beauty, which is characterised by unique cultural relics, ancient streets of antique houses, elegant French colonial buildings, tree-lined boulevards and romantic lakes, has made it one of the most charming cities in Asia.
Check in hotel, then take an hour for a cycle tour of the Old Quarter of Hanoi with its ancient streets representing traditional trades from the past.

The city tour begins with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Complex, which features the life of Ho Chi Minh, the nation’s founder. At the complex, visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, where the nation’s founder’s body is preserved (closed on Monday, Friday and through October - November), the colonial Presidential Palace, originally the French Governor Office and a fine illustration of French architecture in Hanoi, and the rural style Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts where president Ho Chi Minh lived and worked. Stop by one of Hanoi’s icons, the One Pillar Pagoda, built in the 11th Century in dedication to Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara or Buddha of Compassion and reminiscent of a lotus blossom rising from a pond. Continue to the Temple of Literature, known as the first university of Vietnam, which was built in 1070 by the Ly Dynasty to honor Confucius, sages and outstanding Vietnamese scholars.
Afternoon, continue the tour to one of the following museums of choice, namely the Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Ethnology or Hoa Lo Prison. Next, head for Hoan Kiem Lake, the centre point of Hanoi whose name “The Return Sword Lake” originated from a legend of a sacred sword and is home to a rare endangered giant turtle species and visit Ngoc Son Temple on the lake. Finish the tour at the Theatre with a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show.

In Bac Ha, experience the lively atmosphere of the local market, renowned for its colourful stalls and unique handicrafts. After soaking in the local culture, continue your journey to Di Thang, where the real adventure begins. This drive usually takes around 30 minutes to 1 hour.
From Di Thang, embark on a thrilling trek through the lush landscapes of Na Lo. The trek offers breathtaking views of verdant rice paddies and traditional villages nestled in the mountains. As you hike, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with local communities and enjoy the serene beauty of the untouched natural environment. Trekking from Di Thang to Na Lo can vary widely based on the chosen route. Generally, this trek can take about 2 to 4 hours, depending on the trail’s difficulty and your trekking speed.

Start your day with an early pickup from your hotel in Hanoi, as our guide escorts you on a journey to Ninh Binh, approximately 120 km away.
Upon arrival, take a short 20-minute break to relax and stretch your legs. Your first stop is the historic Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, the original capital of Vietnam. Explore the impressive temples dedicated to King Dinh and King Le, the first two emperors of ancient Vietnam, built in the 17th century. Absorb the rich history and architectural splendour of this ancient city.
Next, embark on a 45-minute cycling tour around a local village. This is an excellent opportunity to experience the everyday life of the locals and enjoy the tranquil countryside.
For lunch, indulge in a buffet featuring local specialties such as goat meat and fried rice, with vegetarian options available to cater to all preferences.
After lunch, set off to Tam Coc for a 1.5-hour bamboo boat ride. Glide through the serene waters surrounded by lush paddy fields, majestic karst formations, and enchanting caves. Often referred to as "Halong Bay on Land," Tam Coc offers a breathtaking natural landscape.
In the afternoon, travel to Mua Cave (Dancing Cave). Climb nearly 500 steps to the top of Lying Dragon Mountain for a panoramic view of Tam Coc’s stunning scenery.

Stay overnight in Ninh Binh
Morning pickup at 8:00 AM from your hotel for transfer to Ha Long Bay, which is about 160 km or 3.5-hour drive away. On the way, you will see some rural areas of the Red River Delta with plenty of chances to take photos of Vietnamese farmers working in paddy fields. Stop half way to visit a handicraft workshop of fine clothes and embroidered paintings.
Arrive in Ha Long City at 11:30 AM and check in aboard the booked junk right after the welcome drink is served. Start cruising while having lunch on board and enjoy the mighty bay view. Ha Long Bay, meaning Descending Dragon Bay in Vietnamese, as legend has it, was where a holly dragon landed down from sky. The bay, famous as one of the world’s wonders and heritage sites whose formation dates back 500 million years, consists of around 2,000 karst islands and islets scattered over an area of 1,553 km2. The bay cruise will continue with up-close sighting of Dinh Huong Island, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island, and Sail Island, a visit to Sung Sot Cave and swimming stop at Titov Beach. Relax to enjoy the bay view at sunset, have dinner after and spend a night on board.
